Strawesome Schools
WHO WE ARE
Strawesome is an organization whose goal is to eliminate the use of plastic straws in post-secondary school settings.
We want to begin by targeting Florida International University (FIU) students in order to mobilize a campaign that will convince the Board and President to eliminate the use of plastic straws across all of the school's campuses.

An idea is born.
FUTURE
By generating change at FIU we can expand to other schools in the area and state, and then the nation. Because students are also members of their communities, the changes made in the educational environment will also impact our counties and cities. This will result in more cities joining Miami Beach in banning plastic straws.

Boycotting plastic straws given at well-known franchises, whether it is in school or outside, will also force change.
